A letter to my not so little baby,
Liliana you have given me an abundance of joy these last seven years. Our journey hasn't been exactly easy. I've had to make difficult decisions for you and I but ultimately these decisions have lead us right where we were meant to be. You've given me strength and confidence. When I look at you I want to be the best possible person I can be. I want to make you proud. I want you to know that there is good in the world. To be open minded, to be a believer. Know that it's better to be a giver than a taker. To bring kindness wherever you go. That smile of yours will always light up a room. Never lose that smile.
In so many ways you have saved me. You show me daily what's really important. Those dirty dishes can wait, laundry can wait, playing outside together should not wait, reading a story together should not wait. You're growing up and I have to allow that to happen. I don't mean to baby you but you will always be my baby.
I see a lot of myself in you. Please don't think you always have to perfect. You're perfect in your own way. I don't expect perfection, I only ask you try your best. Your future is shining bright. I wish more than anything for you find pleasures in the smallest things. Treasure moments and memories, not things. There's not a single day that goes by that I'm not thankful for you. I couldn't be more proud to be your mom, everyday you continue to amaze me. Thank you for giving me my most important, most rewarding job, being your mom! I love you with all my heart.
