Paint the Town RAD

By Nicole Torretti, Publisher of Macaroni Kid Enfield February 8, 2021

Paint the Town RAD is an independent, woman-owned art studio based out of Ellington, CT, which places a strong emphasis on community outreach. Kate "Ham" Clancy has been teaching acrylics for six years to painters of all experience levels, but what sets her paint parties apart is her relentless positivity and how she sells her art to provide diapers and food for families in need, supplies for the homeless and more! It's painting with a purpose! The studio has recently partnered with RE / MAX Essentia to provide art classes for kids on a sliding scale! The Paint the Town RAD "RAD Kid's Club" currently meets one a week on Zoom, Saturdays at 1pm, to paint together. Classes typically cost $25 with all supplies included, and just $20 once the painter owns their signature rainbow paint brushes, but there is an option to log on with your own supplies for just $10! However, thanks to this new partnership, free kits and discounted kits are available! If you're interested in registering your child for a class but the price point doesn't agree with your budget, you can reach right out to Ham by visiting paintthetownrad.com and filling out the contact form. You can request kits for free or at a discount, and if available, she will coordinate the registration! As the months grow warmer, outside events will become available in addition to virtual classes, but in the interim, the Kid's Club will meet on Zoom exclusively! Private birthday parties are also available for booking, and Ham will happily paint something custom for the special occasion!
