By Nicole Torretti, Publisher of Macaroni KID Enfield June 10, 2024

We are lucky to have so many great playgrounds and parks to explore. From swings to slides, to climbing walls, parks and playgrounds keep my kids active, are a great place to meet old friends (and make new friends!), and they're FREE!

I often get asked what our favorite playgrounds are, so I thought I'd share here with you my family's picks for our top five playgrounds and parks to visit near Enfield

Locations are listed alphabetically:

Adam's Adventure

67 Rhodes Rd Tolland, CT

Adam’s Adventure is a playground where children of all abilities can play freely!  It is a place where there are no limitations and where there is something for everyone.  Adam’s Adventure is designed to accommodate not only Mobility Impairments, but also Auditory Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cognitive Impairments, Visual Disabilities and more.  Whether they wish to swing, to climb, to play music, or just need a quiet place to rest, the children will find it there.  It is A Playground for EVERYONE!

Boundless Playground Nevers Park

150 Never Rd South Windsor, CT

This playground is AWESOME! There are three sections to this playground. One section is for ages 2-5. Another section for ages 5-12. Then there's a section for all ages. Great for sensory skills! New this year is a splash pad!

Robert Tedford Memorial park (Brookside Park)

Hatheway Rd CT-140 Ellington, CT (by Rolling Meadows Country Club)

This park has a lot to offer. There are baseball, softball, soccer & football fields. There are also tennis courts, nice structured playground & volleyball court. Plus a covered pavilion.

Connor's Place Playground

96 Field St Somers, CT

Connor's Place Playground is an excellent place to play! From the playscapes, splash pad, fields, basketball courts & covered picnic area, there's plenty to do!

Enfield Rotary Accessible Playground

Enfield Public Library 104 Middle Rd Enfield, CT

This has been a favorite playground of ours for awhile. The playground is broken up into two sections one for the older children & one the younger children. There's a covered picnic area.
